What is 9 Tales?

9 Tales is an upcoming play-to-earn (p2e) card game. Players can battle and earn in a fantasy world where 9 different races co-exist.

In order to raise funds for the game, they are selling 9,999 NFTs avatars through different phases.

Why NFTs?

Around 40% of the world plays video games. The online card game industry assembles tens of millions of monthly users and hundred of millions of dollars in yearly revenue. However, most popular card games only offer a limited experience to the users. Users do not own the cards they buy, they cannot trade them freely and the tokens they earn have no real world value.

The goal of 9tales is to use the NFT technology to create a paradigm shift in this industry. They plan on giving back the power to the players by granting them total control of their cards and in-game assets. The tokens earned in their game are also cryptocurrencies that can be traded freely in the different markets.

The world of 9Tales

There are 9 races in the world of 9tales. These races have common sense, meaning they can reason. The 9 races are: the Humans, the Orcs, the Elves, the Dijnns, the Elementals, the Moutas, the Beastmen, the Old ones, and the Angels.

9tales is a fast-paced card game. You use your cards to build a deck, then go into battles against other players or AI.

What makes 9 Tales different from other p2e games out there?

9 Tales mentioned that the game they are building is not limited to only their NFT holders. They are building a brand, a game for EVERYONE, with or without their NFT to play the game for free.

Genesis and Phase 1 NFT Hodler Benefits

1. Genesis holders get automatic whitelist spots for the Phase 1 release.
2. Holding a Genesis + Phase 1 NFT gives you access to their exclusive Primordial NFT raffle.
3. Genesis holders gain priority access to weekly tournaments in the alpha version with prize pools of $10,000. Phase 1 holders will gain access a few weeks after the Genesis holders.

1. Access to a huge 9Tales tournament which they want to make as big as possible. They haven’t decided on the prize pool yet but they are aiming for around $500,000. This tournament will be sponsored by other brands and projects.
2. A mystery bonus for Genesis and Phase 1 holders who participate in the alpha version and give us feedback.
3. Access to the NIT token private sale with allocations reserved for Genesis and Phase 1 holders. However, Genesis holders can buy extra NIT at the private sale price.
4. Priority access to card expansion packs for both Genesis and Phase 1 NFT holders.

9tales has an extremely strong team and backing. It is clear that the people behind the project has the capabilities to execute their vision.

9Tales is run by four co-founders: An artist from Ubisoft with many years of experience in the gaming industry, a game designer who is a Magic and Poker pro, a Ph.D. researcher who made the tokenomics, and a blockchain engineer. The company has twenty employees: Artists, game developers, community managers… And their team will be growing by the day.

They have very knowledgeable and influential people as their advisors.

As a genesis holder, there are tons of benefits that the 9tales team has provided.

1) In game token (not the $NIT token)

The first thing I learn in their discord was the way to earn tokens.
Server boost: 100 tokens/day
Genesis warrior: 100 tokens/day

Main 3 commands: u!collect (to collect coins), u!bal (to check your balance), u!buy item name (to buy items)

By using tokens, you can buy roles that earn you more tokens, 9tales WL, 9tales NFT, Crypto, and amazon giftcards.

2) WL giveaways

30+ BFP, llamascape, zooverse, coniun pass, discount on a lot of tools and a lot more was given out through raffle/first come first served basis.

They are thinking of a way to evenly distribute all the WLs in the future. There are tons of WL giveaways from the team as they are quite well known in the space. Godjira is their lead, so I can foresee a lot of Godjira’s next drop allocation will be for 9tales.

Another catch is that 9tales genesis holder count is very little, so everyone have a really high chance to win. Everytime I join a raffle, only around 100 people participated. So if you imagine 30 BFP WL raffled, it will be 30% chance of getting the WL.

3) Alpha group

Their ambassador, WebVC is the founder of this alpha group and Screate is one of the analysts. Alpha calls are held in a telegram group. They will usually pin all the alpha calls for everyone to check and follow. The founder is a well known person in the space with huge whale connections (noun holders, moonbird holders etc). Not to mention that this alpha group has a lot of big whales. In the chat, it is often being discussed about potential blows, group buys, crypto tradings, nft experiences etc. So I would rather call it a well-knitted community than merely just an alpha group.
A few significant alpha calls:
1) Regulars were called during mint (founder knew several azuki, punks holders minting). ATH was 0.2–0.3E. Some of us minted like 10+. Count the profits yourself. Not to mention that the founder of regulars is also in the group.
2) Onesones called at mint. ATH around 0.2E as well
3) Something token called at mint too. ATH around 1E.

My personal opinion: I have been in this chat for quite long, I have seen a lot of quality calls being called before any alpha groups called. (zooverse, lammaverse, cyber turtle) Other alpha groups will usually call it when they see volume on icytool + a few whales alert. However, that was too late to get in as well. I have seen almost 80% win rate on all the calls, even if you followed every single call they made and buy 1 each, you’d probably have more than 1E profit by now. In summary, having connections with big whales are really important in alpha calls

9 Tales has been a successful project after minting out their genesis and I believe that the team behind it has the potential to bring the 9 Tales community to the next level.

The current floor price for the genesis collection is sitting at 0.733 eth as of writing this article and I strongly believe that the value of the entire project will continue to rise in the long term.

Phase 1 mint was originally supposed to happen on the 15th of May 2022 but due to the poor market conditions, the team listened to their holders and have delayed the phase 1 mint. Mint will be happening on the Monday, 30th May, 12am GMT+8 (A few hours from the release of this article).

The online card game industry assembles tens of millions of monthly users and hundred of millions of dollars in yearly revenue.
